I was walking in New York City in december. There was trash everywhere on the streets and trash was being picked up every single day and still it was dirty. If they would use this system it would not only make the amount of workload much lower, the city would finally be clean of garbage bags on the street. Workers wouldn't need to throw all those baggs manually. Also the whole problem of not parking on the side of the street on thrash day would be gone since the crane could just pick up the trash from above the cars. Also having a set point for garbage drop would mean less stops for garbage cars. New York City really needs this. Every major city needs this in my opinion.
